The short version
Seattle Buses is a transit map that works without an account. The developer does not collect personal data, build profiles, or use the app to track you.
Information we do not collect
You do not need to create an account or sign in. The developer does not collect personal data through normal use of the app, create user profiles, use analytics or tracking SDKs, show ads, sell information, or share information for advertising.
Optional precise location
If you allow location access, Seattle Buses uses your precise location only on your device to center the map and show nearby transit information. Your location is not received, uploaded, or stored by the developer.
Location access is optional. You can turn it off in the app or at any time in iOS Settings. The app remains usable without it.
Settings saved on your device
Saved routes, time windows, travel direction, theme, and color preferences stay locally on your device. These settings are not uploaded to the developer.
Public transit information
The app downloads public real-time vehicle information from King County Metro through an Amazon S3 endpoint. As with any network request, standard network information, such as an IP address, may be processed by the service provider.
This network processing is not a Seattle Buses account, profile, analytics, or advertising program.
Maps
Maps are provided through Apple Maps. Apple’s privacy practices apply to Apple’s handling of information related to its map services. See Apple’s Privacy Policy for more information.
Text Feedback
The “Text Feedback” option opens Apple’s Messages composer. Nothing is sent without your confirmation. If you choose to send a message, the developer receives the message and associated contact information solely to respond to your feedback or support request.
Children’s privacy
Seattle Buses does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If the privacy practices described here change, this page will be updated with a new effective date. Please review this page from time to time for the latest information.
